I started back in 1984 when money was low. My place of employment at that time was laying off employees and the employees were on strike. When you have three children, a wife, a mortgage you need something else. I went to work doing swimming pool patios in the middle of the 70's.
I learned a lot from this employer and we are still friends today. With the encouragement of my wife Denise, I was doing odd jobs in my old 1971 Lincoln Towncar.
I carried what I needed to stucco or finish concrete but it became to much. I decided to buy a truck in 1984. This was the beginning of my life as it is today. I was later asked to do patios for a local pool company. He is the one who started me out in this business.
I thank him from the bottom of my heart. We work for many local pool companies as a subcontractor. We construct their swimming pool patios, retaining walls, etc.
I am truly proud to pass my knowledge to my Son, Alexi, who is the future of our business and a true example of the American Dream.

George and Alexi completed the first job I contracted with them last fall, when I needed to rework my front yard. The job involved removal of an existing cement single width driveway that was replaced with a double wide cement drive, the removal and construction of a retaining wall, new paver sidewalk and street front curb. The job turned out so incredibly beautiful, that I continually receive complements, even from people in the industry of landscaping and masonry, stopping to ask who did the work. I could not be more pleased! Recently I've had George and Alexi come back to complete an additional project. These guys are good. They assist with the design of the job, offering suggestions. They go the extra step to assure that the outcome is functional as well as beautiful. Three years ago, I began planning my Eagle Scout Service Project. It was started as a small project, but soon grew until it encompassed an area that was 24'x24'. I had not expected to encounter the road blocks such as the rocky ground that we had to dig through or the trees that we had to move or the retaining wall that we had to build to keep he gardening place. But, I did not fear because I knew I could count on your help. Today, the Prayer Garden is a serene environment for the parishioners of Saint Thomas Greek Orthodox Church. It serves as a place for outside gathering for parents waiting for their children to get out of Greek School, children waiting for their parents to pick them up (as I often did), and an open area for parishioners to meditate after church services. The Prayer Garden that you helped to build demonstrates how the community can have an enormous impact on its environment. The garden and seating area outside of the John N. Balis Education Centre stands as a tribute to hard, compassionate work. The garden took 762 man hours to complete. These hours included sod relocation, digging through the hard dirt, preparing the ground for brick and concrete, the installation of brick, the pouring of concrete, caring for the garden, plan tong, building a retaining wall so the soil would not erode from the garden onto the patio and building benches. I could have never achieved the rank of Eagle Scout or completed this project without your help. Therefore, I would like to offer my sincere thanks for your countless hours and materials that you contributed to the completion of this project and to the betterment of the community.
